All times are China Standard Time. Slots are first come, first served — all programmes and all levels draw from the same availability. There is no separate schedule by subject or age.

How your slot is booked

Once payment is confirmed you receive a booking link. The link matches the lesson length you purchased — 30- and 60-minute packages have separate links.

You choose one time, and it repeats every week. You do not book ten separate lessons.

Renew before your final lesson and we carry your slot across. If you let the package finish first, we'll do our best — but popular times are usually claimed quickly.

Rescheduling and no-shows

Situation

What happens

24 hours' notice or more

What happens

Your credit is returned and we reschedule the lesson with you.

Less than 24 hours' notice

What happens

The lesson credit is used.

You don't arrive within 10 minutes

What happens

The lesson is treated as missed and the credit is used.

You arrive late but within 10 minutes

What happens

The lesson ends at its scheduled time. It is not extended.

Your internet, device or power fails

What happens

The lesson continues if you can rejoin. If you cannot, the credit is used.

Notice can be given by WeChat, LINE, ClassIn chat or email — all four reach us. Tell us as early as you can. A rescheduled lesson must still fall inside your original validity period; rescheduling does not extend it.

A lesson missed without notice cannot be recovered, part-refunded, or carried forward. This is the one rule we apply without exception: the hour is held for you and cannot be given to anyone else once the time has passed.

If the problem is at our end

Situation

What happens

We cancel a lesson, at any notice

What happens

Your credit is returned and we reschedule with you.

We don't arrive within 15 minutes

What happens

Your credit is returned and the lesson is rescheduled.

A technical problem on our side ends the lesson before half the time has passed

What happens

Your credit is returned and the lesson is rescheduled.

A technical problem on our side ends the lesson after half the time has passed

What happens

The lesson stands. No credit is returned and no time is carried forward.

Planned closures — holidays, public holidays and scheduled leave — are shown on the booking calendar in advance. Affected weeks are skipped and your remaining lessons continue as normal.

Refunds and cancellations

All refund requests must be made within 60 days of your payment. This is set by the payment providers we use, not by us. Credits remain usable for the full validity period whether or not a refund is still available.

Situation

What happens

Before your first lesson

What happens

Cancel three or more days before your first scheduled lesson and you receive a full refund.

After your first lesson

What happens

A refund is calculated pro-rata on your unused paid lessons only. Bonus and free lessons are forfeited. We will set the figure out in writing before anything is processed.

How refunds are paid

What happens

Back through the same method used for payment, subject to the rules and time limits of Alipay, WeChat Pay, Stripe and your bank. Alipay and WeChat Pay refunds may take longer to appear than card refunds.

Setting up ClassIn

Install and complete the setup before your first lesson — not on the day.

What you need

Minimum

Recommended

Connection

Minimum

Stable broadband

Recommended

Wired connection, or a strong Wi-Fi signal

Device

Minimum

Laptop, desktop, tablet or phone

Recommended

Laptop or desktop

Audio

Minimum

Built-in microphone and speakers

Recommended

Headset with microphone

Camera

Minimum

Required

Recommended

Environment

Minimum

Quiet, well-lit, few interruptions

Recommended

A headset makes a real difference. Speaker audio produces echo, which forces the instructor to mute and interrupt, and it makes fine pronunciation correction difficult.

If the connection fails

Occasional network disruption is a reality of online teaching, particularly for students in mainland China. We plan for it rather than hope against it.

If you lose connection, try to rejoin ClassIn immediately. If you can't reconnect within a few minutes, message us on WeChat, LINE or ClassIn chat.

Backup platform. If ClassIn is unusable we send a Meeting link and the lesson continues there. Install it in advance so this takes seconds.
